Problem: Thermistor sub-code tE2: Inlet thermistor fault (dual-sensor systems)
How to Fix Dryer Error
- UNPLUG dryer from electrical power.
- Remove front lower access panel or rear panel per model diagram to access inlet thermistor location.
- Locate inlet thermistor (tE2 sensor) mounted on air intake duct assembly. Disconnect wiring harness.
- Measure resistance across sensor terminals with multimeter at room temperature. Expected value: approximately 10kΩ (±10%).
- If reading is faulty, replace sensor.
- Remove retaining clip or screw securing thermistor. Carefully withdraw sensor from mounting location.
- Clean mounting area thoroughly. Apply thermal paste to sensing tip of new sensor.
- Install new thermistor using OEM part DC34-00041A. Secure mounting hardware. Route wiring clear of moving components.
- Reconnect harness. Reassemble panels. Restore power and verify temperature display functions correctly during cycle operation.
