⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: Dryer Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Inlet thermistor circuit fault (older models); sensor malfunction affecting intake air temperature monitoring
How to Fix Dryer Error
- UNPLUG dryer from electrical power.
- Remove front lower access panel or rear panel depending on model to access inlet thermistor location (typically near drum inlet).
- Locate inlet thermistor mounted on air duct assembly. Disconnect wiring harness.
- Measure resistance across sensor terminals with multimeter at room temperature. Expected value: approximately 10kΩ (±10%).
- If reading is infinite, zero, or significantly deviates from specification, replace sensor.
- Remove retaining clip or screw securing thermistor. Carefully withdraw sensor from mounting location.
- Clean mounting area thoroughly. Apply thermal paste to sensing tip of new sensor.
- Install new thermistor using OEM part DC34-00041A. Secure mounting hardware. Route wiring clear of drum and moving components.
- Reconnect harness. Reassemble panels. Restore power and verify temperature readings stabilize correctly during operation.
