How to Fix Refrigerator Error
- UNPLUG refrigerator.
- For optical sensors: Clean emitter/receiver lenses in ice chute with alcohol. Verify alignment. Test circuit continuity. Replace both sensors as pair if faulty.
- For mechanical arm sensors: Remove ice bin and locate bail arm mechanism on ice maker. Ensure arm moves freely without binding. Check microswitch operation at end of arm travel. Replace ice maker assembly if switch faulty or arm mechanism broken.
- After repair, verify ice maker stops production when bin is full and resumes when ice level drops.
