How to Fix Refrigerator Error

  1. SHUT OFF water supply valve and UNPLUG refrigerator.
  2. Remove rear lower access panel.
  3. Locate water inlet valve (solenoid assembly with 1/4″ water line input and 2 outputs).
  4. Disconnect electrical connectors and water lines (have towels ready).
  5. Remove mounting screws and extract valve assembly.
  6. Test solenoid coils for continuity (should read 300-500 ohms each).
  7. Replace entire valve assembly if either coil open or leaking.
  8. Reconnect water lines hand-tight plus 1/4 turn, open supply valve slowly, check for leaks before restoring power.
  9. Test dispenser and ice maker operation.
