How to Fix Refrigerator Error

  1. UNPLUG unit.
  2. Remove evaporator cover panel inside freezer compartment.
  3. Locate freezer thermistor clipped to evaporator coil tubing (white probe with 2 wires).
  4. Disconnect connector and test resistance (5k-15k ohms at room temp).
  5. Replace if open/shorted or reading outside specification.
  6. IMPORTANT: Position new sensor in EXACT same location as original – even 1 inch difference causes temperature control issues.
  7. Secure with original clip or high-temp adhesive.
  8. Reassemble and verify freezer reaches 0°F within 4 hours of startup.
