How to Fix Refrigerator Error
- UNPLUG unit.
- Remove evaporator cover panel inside freezer compartment.
- Locate freezer thermistor clipped to evaporator coil tubing (white probe with 2 wires).
- Disconnect connector and test resistance (5k-15k ohms at room temp).
- Replace if open/shorted or reading outside specification.
- IMPORTANT: Position new sensor in EXACT same location as original – even 1 inch difference causes temperature control issues.
- Secure with original clip or high-temp adhesive.
- Reassemble and verify freezer reaches 0°F within 4 hours of startup.
