- Measure resistance at room temperature (should be 5k-15k ohms depending on model).
- If reading OL (open) or wildly out of spec, replace thermistor.
- Route new sensor wire carefully avoiding door hinge pinch points.
- Secure sensor in original clip/location.
- Restore power and allow 4-6 hours for temperature stabilization before evaluating performance.
